4 slices of bacon, in strips
3 pounds beef

1 sliced carrot
1 onion, sliced
1 1/2 cups of red wine
1 1/2 cups of beef stock
1 tablespoon of tomato paste
2 cloves of garlic, pureed
Few sprigs of fresh Thyme
2 bay leaves
10 – 18 small white onions
8 oz mushrooms, quartered if large
Saute the bacon, add to slow cooker. Brown beef on all sides, add to slow cooker. Brown sliced vegetables, add wine, stock, tomato paste, bring to a boil, add to slow cooker. Add onions and mushrooms to slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours.
